RE: Is this normal or just bad trailer design

My previous rv had everything easy to reach and the rocks from the gravel roads broke the handles off. My new rv is recessed and a pain to get to and i'm grateful for it because the handles are still there. If there is ever another one easy to get to it will get mud/rock flaps before everything disappears.

RE: Enclosed Underbelly?

For me it was a must as well as the valves being in the enclosed and heated space. There are several trailers that are enclosed with the valves exposed which defeats the concept.

RE: Neat Chevrolet Commercial

RE: La Mesa RV closing in CA

Quote- Saw a commercial yesterday that La Mesa RV is going out of business here in CA (closing Davis and San Bernardino). Looks like the economic problems is hitting the RV industry as we expected. If you expect it it will happen, why not expect good instead of bad ? There is no recession if noone tells you there is one.

RE: Towing OVER capacity..... too many doing this....

So what do you all think about a tractor trailer rig going down the road at 129,500 legally and safely ? Just because YOU dont think its right or safe doesnt mean squat to the people that do this on a regular basis. I say tow your lightwieght with an F450 while the rest of the real world does what they deem safe without you.

RE: Where's my gun when I need it

Sounds like a meth dealer gave up his gun to get his own mobile lab.

RE: state laws pulling two trailers

Two bumper pulls are legal in Nevada up to 70 ft with endorsement. The towing guides as posted are rarely right.

RE: DURO Tires

I have about 6k on my Duros with about 10 percent of that on gravel roads. 45mph or so on gravel 70+ on the interstate with no problems to date.

RE: second trailer rules

I've gotten diferent answers from the CHP. One will know the law and one wont. Its frustrating. Best to find it yourself and carry it so you can show them. I just avoid going there unless its ordinary looking to them. And thelinks above arent much help as they say no doubles in Nevadawhich is wrong and one says triples ok in Ca which wont fly.

RE: problem to trade-in full size pickups

I was going to trade one of my work trucks to a bigger one but what was offered on my 05 1/2 ton was rediculous. I refuse to take that kind of hit on it.

RE: New to Boondocking

You can do lots of boondocking in the US. Land designated as wilderness doesnt allow motorized travel. I believe that too many people go along with adding more wilderness not truly understanding that they are locking themselves out by not knowing the definition of wilderness when politicians want to add to it.
